We offer differentiation of complex niche-like human models that have been fully characterised and validated in multiple iPS cell lines. 

Neural Organoids 

The Stem Cell & Organoid Facility specialises in CNS organoids.

Cortical organoids

These are generated using our 2D/3D differentiation protocol originally used to generate retinal organoids (Gonzalez-Cordero et al., 2017)

These form dorsal cortical populations including neurons and glia. Organoids elicit clear functional activity when mature.

Whole cerebral organoids 

The Facility generates cerebral organoids using a modified version of the original Lancaster et al, 2013 protocol. These organoids give rise to various brain regions. 

Cardiac Organoids

The Stem Cell & Organoid Facility is optimising our own protocol for the generation of beating cardiac organoids.

Kidney Organoids

Organoids have been generated using the original Takasato M. et al., Nature, 2015 differentiation protocol.

Other Organoids 

We can work with customers to generate their organoid of interest.
