Priya Duggal is the ethics and governance manager at CMRI with a specific role in the regulatory review processes needed for ProCan projects. Priya established a robust and efficient ethics and governance review model for ProCan to allow biospecimens and data with varied historical legacies to be appropriately reviewed and included in ProCan.
Priya works with the cancer oncologists, the histopathology research team, CMRI legal and the COO office to deliver a seamless transaction between collaborators and ProCan researchers. She also supports CMRI by providing human research ethics guidance to CMRI researchers and research governance reviews.
Her expertise stems from 20 years of clinical research project management, including the management and coordination of large, international clinical trials. Her undergraduate research in biotechnology and protein purification and PhD in molecular biology in lab bench research provides a natural bridge between the lab and human clinical research.
