Michael Dausmann is Team Leader for Procan Software Engineering at CMRI. He completed his undergraduate study in Physical Metallurgy and was awarded a degree in Metallurgical Engineering with Honours Class 1 from UNSW. He has worked in Industrial research at BHP Research in Wollongong, specialising in the composition and anaerobic corrosion of Zinc/Aluminium coatings before transitioning to Software Engineering.

Prior to joining CMRI, he applied software Engineering to several Financial Services firms in Sydney, culminating in 16 years at JP Morgan Chase & Co as Vice President of Software Engineering where he led the Engineering team and managed major systems projects underpinning the Australian Superannuation industry including custody and interfunding applications relied upon by a majority of funds in the market.

Michael uses his experience with Technical Architecture, Startup Mindset, Agile, Data Science and Machine Learning to help the small but highly skilled Software Engineering team to innovate in a fluid and fast paced environment, responding to the needs of Proteomics and Data Scientists at the cutting edge of research.
