Dr Huimin [pronounced: Hueɪmin] Tian worked as a clinician at the Paediatric Centre of Semmelweis University in Hungary before joining TVRU in 2026.
She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Semmelweis University in 2023 with summa cum laude distinction. During her time as a paediatric registrar at a leading university hospital, she developed a strong interest in paediatric genetic disorders and rare diseases. Caring for children and families affected by currently incurable conditions motivated her to pursue translational research bridging clinical care and therapeutic innovation.
Her current PhD research focuses on the development of AAV-based gene therapies for rare genetic diseases, with a primary emphasis on disorders affecting the central nervous system.
