Emma completed a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science. After graduating, she joined the Pasteur Institute of Iran, where she worked on developing vaccines against leishmaniasis.
After moving to Australia, she joined the Gene Therapy Research Unit at Children’s Medical Research Institute, where she became involved in gene editing research focused on developing therapies for genetic diseases. Emma is passionate about the transformative potential of gene therapy and is excited to continue contributing to this rapidly evolving field.
Outside of the lab, she enjoys playing the saxophone, playing soccer, and exploring Sydney.
