Ashley completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of New South Wales and then worked as a research assistant at the Children’s Cancer Institute, Randwick for two years. She carried out her PhD project investigating UV-induced DNA damage in skin at the University of Sydney. She received her PhD in 2020 and subsequently joined the Cell Biology Unit at CMRI. Ashley is currently establishing a disease model using human hematopoietic stem cells to characterise telomerase mutations associated with Telomere Biology Disorders.
