Dr Andrew Sloane is an accomplished executive leader, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the life sciences, biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors, including senior roles in both research and corporate leadership.
With a PhD in Medicine from Sydney University and the Westmead Millennium Institute, his career spans a wide range of specialty medicines, including oncology, as well as strategic and operational leadership in some of Australia’s leading healthcare organisations.
Dr Sloane worked for 18 years in the pharmaceutical industry. He has contributed to the launch of numerous specialised medicines in Australia, expanding patient access to medicines, and overseeing innovative research and stakeholder engagement. He has led cross-functional teams, established high-impact partnerships, and implemented compliance and governance frameworks to support innovation and safe medicine use.
Dr Sloane also has a background in protein chemistry and proteomics, leading technology development initiatives, biomarker discovery research and point-of-care diagnostic development in the biotechnology sector. Dr Sloane has a passion for delivering medical, scientific and operational excellence, working to achieve beneficial outcomes for patients, customers and colleagues, with innovation, strategic planning, and collaboration remaining front of mind to advance science and healthcare.
