Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) is delighted to welcome Dr Andrew Sloane as our new Chief Operating Officer and Company Secretary from 12 May 2025.

Dr Sloane brings with him 30 years of experience across the life sciences, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors.

After completing his PhD in Medicine (at Westmead Millennium Institute), Dr Sloane has worked across a range of specialities, including oncology, which gives him a unique perspective on our work and CMRI’s mission to create a healthier future for all children.

His strategic and operational expertise will be key to positioning Children's Medical Research Institute's next phase of expansion for success – including our building expansion and commercialisation efforts associated with our globally leading R&D programs in cancer, gene therapies and stem cell technologies – to ensure we are in the best position to deliver the impact of our research by improving children’s health.
