**Thank you to our charity partner Seed for raising over $64,000 through their Denim for Good campaign!**
Wearing “Denim for Good’’ is at the heart of a new partnership between Jeans for Genes and Australian fashion retailer Seed which will see sales donated to the vital work being done in the labs at Children’s Medical Research Institute.
Seed started out as a childrenswear store in a single shopfront in Victoria and today has expanded to include womenswear in their range and more than 200 stores across Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Singapore, as well as an international online presence.
From Monday 30th August to Sunday 5th September, Seed will donate $20 from all women’s and children’s denim sales instore and online to Jeans for Genes. They are calling the campaign, Denim for Good.
CMO at Seed Heritage, Sophia Brown, said since they started out as a business that was focused on children, it was a natural fit to work with Jeans for Genes.
“At Seed we value making a positive impact on the world and we know that by contributing to the research being done by the scientists through Jeans for Genes, we are making a difference in the lives of the 1 in 20 children living with genetic disease or a birth defect, as well as future generations.’’
Jeans for Genes Campaign Manager Greg Noel-Butterworth said the charity was so grateful to have the support of such a well-known brand, during such tough times.
“We know everyone is doing it tough during the pandemic, including retailers, so it is incredible that Seed have come on board as a Charity Partner with Jeans for Genes,’’ he said. “Our scientists feel so supported knowing that big Australian businesses have their back and want to ensure that their vital work to help children living with genetic disease can continue.’’
