Dr Niantao Deng is currently a Senior Data Scientist at ProCan Cancer Data Science Group. He has extensive experience in cancer genomics study across multiple types of cancers. Prior to join CMRI, he worked at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research as a Senior Research Officer. He has been awarded National Breast Cancer Foundation Fellowship and Cancer Australia project grant. He has led multiple projects on genetics and epigenetic characterisation of solid cancers using large cohorts of high-throughput microarray and sequencing data.
His current interests are to extend the use of statistical methodologies to integrate large cohorts of multi-omics data and help to address some critical questions, such as disease stratification and treatment response prediction.
