Matthieu completed a Master’s Degree in 2013 in Vectorology, Gene therapy and Vaccinology in Toulouse (France). Then he earned his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a speciality in Neuroscience from University of Lille (France) in 2018. He first joined the Translational Vectorology Research Unit (TVRU) at Children’s Medical Research Institute in 2018 to work on the development of novel AAV capsids for CNS gene therapy.
He then joined SpliceBio a gene therapy-based company in Barcelona.
Since returning TVRU, Matthieu is working to develop AAV-based gene therapies for rare neurological disorders.Matthieu Drouyer
