Eva obtained a Bachelor of Advanced Science degree from the University of Technology, Sydney in 2019. She received a first-class Honours in 2020 from UTS, where her project focused on the proteomic characterisation of antimicrobial resistance in a rare aquatic bacterial pathogen. She began her work with the Gene Therapy Research Unit as a research assistant in 2021, working for two years under the supervision of Dr Sharon Cunningham on the development of gene therapies for OTC deficiency.
Eva began her PhD candidature in 2023 supervised by A/Prof Samantha Ginn, with her project focusing on the development of a stem cell-targeted genome editing therapy for congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH). Eva has particular interests in microscopy and image analysis, the design of therapeutic mRNAs, and individualised approaches to the treatment of rare diseases.
