Deborah completed her Bachelor's in Biotechnology in 2021 at the University of New South Wales. During her honours year she focused on predicting protein structures of regulatory proteins responsible for epigenetic gene regulation. In her previous position as a research assistant at UNSW, she made significant contributions to understanding immune responses in vaccinated individuals against COVID-19. 

Deborah joined CMRI in June 2023, where at TVRU she is currently involved in the development of tissue-specific AAV capsids, aimed at enhancing existing capsids and producing novel variants.
