Carmen Laura Garreta Celemin

Carmen was born in Madrid where she completed her Bachelor’s in veterinary science at the Complutense University of Madrid.

Before joining CMRI Carmen started her early research career with WildCoM Research Group at the Autonomous University of Barcelona where she enhances her experience taking part in different multidisciplinary research projects which involved laboratory work, fieldwork, clinical applications and scientific writing abilities.

Carmen joined the Translational Vectorology Research Unit (TVRU) as a Research Assistant in November 2023. She aims to develop new research lines and crucial laboratory skills to achieve a better understanding in management, diagnosis and treatment of human and animal diseases that can be critical in Public Health and environmental issues.
