Dr. Daniela-lee Smith is a Research Officer in the Mass Spectrometry team at the Children’s Medical Research institute. To date she has been involved in a number of projects studying a broad range of cancer types, including, brain, breast and pancreas.
She received her PhD in Biochemistry at the University of New South Wales under the supervision of Professor Marc Wilkin’s. Her expertise is in Mass spectrometry method development, troubleshooting and applications.
Prior to her time at CMRI, her focus was investigation of protein-protein interactions on both small and large scale (single complex to whole proteomes), post-translational modifications identification and effect on protein-protein interactions.
